Light Snow in higher reaches of J&K, rains in Kashmir plains likely during 18th-20th Oct: Dir MET Sonam Lotus

Says no major snowfall expected in J&K as of now, dry weather expected till 17th Oct

Srinagar, 13 Oct (TKN): As Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing cold conditions during morning and evening hours, meteorological department (MeT), officials said a weak western disturbance may affect J&K from 18th to 20th October.

Director meteorological department, Sonam Lotus while talking THE KASHMIRI NEWS, said that, a weak western disturbance may affect Jammu and Kashmir from 18th to 20th October.

“Light to moderate rain/snowfall (over higher reaches) is very likely during 18th to 20th oct in J&K with main activity on 19th Oct, and dry weather is expected till 17th oct”, said the director Met.

“Director “MET” while giving details of predictibility for plains of Kashmir valley said that as of now, light rain is likely during 18th night to 20th morning Oct with main activity on 19th at many places of Kashmir, however, there is no possibility of heavy snowfall as of now in J&K, adding that predictibility may change in coming days.”

Regarding temperatures director added that, no large change is expected. (The Kashmiri News— TKN)
